Honolulu
Oahu is the most diversified island of Hawaii, consisting of cosmopolitan flare coupled with natural scenery and romantic charm. Waikiki Beach is a particularly popular resort region of Honolulu, the old harbour area (known as Aloha Tower Marketplace) has recently been converted into an attractive waterfront development, with shopping plazas, restaurants and pavement entertainers. Other attractions include the zoo in Kapiolani Park, the National Cemetery of the Pacific (or The Punchbowl), a memorial and cemetery for US military veterans, central Honolulu, including Chinatown, the fine collection of Asian art at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace and the spectacular Nuuanu Pali. Hilo
Hilo is a lush, tropical town that is the gateway to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Established in 1916, the park spans 878 sq km (339 sq miles) and ranges from sea level to the top of Mauna Loa, the world's tallest volcano at 4169m (13,677ft) high. Many rare species of plant have flourished in the volcanic landscape; indeed, over 90% of the park's flora and fauna, including 10,000 species of insect and spider, is unique to Hawaii. Hiking trails are a popular way of seeing the wildlife and also the dramatic lava fields and steam vents surrounding Kilauea, the world's most active volcano.

Nawiliwili
Nawiliwili is on Kauai island, north-western Hawaii, situated north-west of Oahu, from which it is separated by the Kauai Channel, and east of Niihau, from which it is separated by the Kaulakahi Channel. The state's fourth-largest island, sometimes known as the Garden Island, it was formed by volcanic action and is covered with mountains, the highest being Kawaikini Peak, rising to 1,599 km (5,243 ft) above sea level. Kauai is seamed with canyons, the deepest of which, Waimea, is almost 16 km (10 mi) long and more than 0.8 km (0.5 mi) deep. The main population centres are Lihue and Kapaa and there is an excellent beach at Kalpaki.
